I will not yield. I can not yield.

Today is one of those days that I feel so, so, so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been struggling lately with all the affairs that are happening in the world. I had been worried about what's happening all around the world and felt like the world was coming to an end. In Relief Society today, the lesson was on "We will not yield. We can not yield!" It was really a great lesson that I needed to hear. The teacher quoted Joseph Smith's "Standard of Truth" where it says "no unhallowed hands can stop the work from progressing". That really struck me. She's right! No unhallowed hands can stop God's work from progressing. As long as we do our parts, Heavenly Father will not allow unhallowed hands to stop his work here on earth. That was very comforting for me, especially with prop 8 and other political crap going on right now. We also talked about Lehi's dream about people in the great and spacious building. The people who were in the building were rich and well educated and they mocked those who were holding on to the iron rod to reach the tree of life. One sister commented that some of us Mormons also belong to the people in that large and spacious building by judging and mocking others as well. I mean, we shouldn't hate the sinners but hate the sin. I got a lot out of the lesson today. It gave me a whole new perspective on how I view the world right now. I will not yield, I can not yield!!

Is Matthew a picky eater?

I am a little concerned because Matthew does not like to eat other than breastmilk. I know it takes time for some babies to move on to solid food but Matthew does not like anything! He started out with rice cereal and he was alright with it though he was never a fan of it. But now, we've been trying to get him started with jar food but he always closes his mouth shut whenever he sees the spoon coming towards him. We tried to give him sweet food like peaches, yogurt flavor, apple, etc but he doesn't like those either. Pretty much, Sean and I have to put on a circus to make him smile big so that we can put a little bit of food into his mouth. But it's not that easy to do that every time we try to feed him solid food. Maybe he will grow out of it. I've been talking to other moms about it and they said that their babies were okay with solid food, especially with sweets. Hmm, well, Matt has a Dr's visit this coming Tuesday, so I will talk to her about it. But if you've got any suggestions for me, feel free to write a note for me because every little tip helps!

September

We dressed him up in a white sweater last Sunday. He looks like he's annoyed by something. Probably because I was taking too many pictures of him.

Either he was yawning or in the middle of a process of smiling. :)

I love his smile. It makes my day bright and beautiful!

They have the same smile.

How precious! Don't you just want to bite off his cheeks? Well, let's not do that though.. :)

Showing off his teeth... Oh his other front teeth are coming in now...

I love his part right in the middle...

His eyes are light brownish...

He got the hammer from Grandma Sue and loves the sound that it makes.

Ok, he sleeps in his crib now and I just check on him every two hours or so (Since I am always nervous about SIDS). Anyway, this is how he was sleeping when I found him at 4 in the morning. I got my camera and took a couple of pictures. He's been sleeping like this for the past week. Even though it is so dang cute, I don't like to find him like this, especially at night because it is encouraged that babies don't sleep on their tummy. But he rolls over like no other to fall asleep. Sometimes the only way he would fall asleep on his own is until he finds himself on his tummy. Are your babies like that too?

This was when he took a nap one day.

Look at that sexy leg in the background.

I love this picture. Don't know why.

BATH TIME!

Matt started sitting up in his little mini-tub to play with toys. He loves them all but I think his favorite part of the bath is to splash, splash, splash!! He loves water. Well, he was two weeks late so that explains it all.

VOTE "YES" ON PROP 8

I really wish that I had a voting right here in America. I always thought that I probably would settle with a resident card but now I am beginning to think that I should probably work towards getting a citizenship so that I could have a vote right. Now that I'm raising my family (Sean and Matt) here, I would like to be involved with some important events that are occurring in America. I am a regular mom who wants her kids to be able to grow up in a safe place (physically and spiritually safe). I think that is every mother's wishes, at least I hope. I know there are many parents who don't care a dang about their children which is really sad. In California, there will be a vote regarding prop 8 which deals with the definition of a family in October. There are many ads on TV saying "Vote No for Prop 8" but practically none on "Vote Yes on Prop 8" - at least I haven't seen any- Many of the multi-millionaires and billionaires are supporting gay marriage in the state of California which makes me sick to my stomach. A lot of ads are saying that we should support gay rights because if you don't, that means you are a horrible person. I don't mind people that are gay. I have met some great people who are gay. I just don't agree with what they do. I believe that God made Adam and Eve for a purpose. But really, since when did gay and lesbian acts become so popular in our society? Only about 10 years ago, it was an unspeakable issue and now it is hard to find a TV show or a movie without a gay reference. Well, the only thing that I am really worried about right now is that my kids will go to school and learn about these things as if it's totally normal and natural and think "Wow, now I really do have a choice. Should I be gay or heterosexual?" I am scared to death! I know that I can always teach my kids good things at home and do all I can to help them learn the gospel of Jesus Christ. But I just think it would be so much easier if there was an external force that would teach them the same thing. Well, the conclusion is that I hope that people would care about their children enough to protect them from the evil. Please Vote YES on Prop 8 and protect your families!!

Mostly Matt

We put Sean's vinnie hat on Matt and he was so darn cute!

We just put all of our junk mail on the floor for Matt. Matt LOVES crumpling paper so it kept him busy for a long time.

Matt likes to grab his diaper and play with it. (It's clean by the way.)

Trying to eat his daddy's hair... I think he grabbed Sean's hair so hard, Sean screamed.

He's so flexible!

Party City

We went to Party City last Saturday and found some cute stuff for Matt... Didn't buy them though but took some pictures with my cell phone...

Cell Phone Fun!

We were at P.F. Chang a while back and took some pictures with Sean's cell phone. We had fun if you can tell.

Apologies..

I see how the pictures from the costume party can be offensive and I would like to apologize to anyone who finds these pictures offensive. The theme of the party was "Mexican Gangsters" and that is why everyone is dressed as that. We didn't mean to make fun of or mock anyone. If the theme of the party were "white trash" or "Asian mafia members", we would have dressed as that. We didn't mean to be racist or anything like that. So please don't be offended!

Mexican Costume Birthday Party

Our family was invited to attend our cousin Cameron's 25th birthday party. We were to dress up as Mexicans because it was Mexican Independence day. Sean was really excited about this because he LOVES costume parties. He grew out mustache and beard for this event. As you can see, he looked so different as a brunette (or black hair, is there a word for that?) I just put some really heavy make up on my face although in pictures, it doesn't really look like I did. The funniest part was Matt. We just put a bandana around his head and drew a mustache on him and everyone loved how he looked. We had some laughs!! Well, here are some pictures from the party. Enjoy!

I was going to go as a pregnant girl too but good thing I didn't, right?

Cameron and Melissa as Mexican gangsters..

Those dogs were crazy...

Wow... still can't get over how different he looked that day..

Another funny expression of Matt..

The dogs were funny, they were all over Aunt BJ. Matt is not fond of dogs so he cries every time he is around dogs... The Bunton family doesn't really like pets so I guess Matt gets that from us.
